1. Information We Collect
Appearance Partners collects the information you provide when you register (name, email address, and password), your attorney profile details (firm, phone, practice address, bar number, jurisdictions, and coverage areas), and the case and court information you enter when posting or accepting an appearance. We also collect limited usage and analytics data such as page views and session identifiers to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the marketplace — matching posting attorneys with covering attorneys, processing payments, sending notifications about appearances in your coverage areas, verifying licensure, and communicating with you about your appearances. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Confidential Case Information
Sensitive case details (party names, case captions, contact information, and uploaded documents) are stored as confidential records accessible only to the posting attorney, the matched covering attorney, and platform administrators. Identity and license documents are stored privately and accessed only through short-lived signed links.
4. Payment Information
Payments are processed by our payment provider (Base44 Payments, powered by Wix Payments). We do not store your full card or bank account numbers on our servers; payment instruments are tokenized and handled by the provider in accordance with applicable security standards.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and your app data at any time from the Settings page; the “Delete Account” option removes the appearances, messages, profile, verification, and payout records associated with your account and signs you out.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use local storage and cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure aggregate usage. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, use the in-app tools or contact us at info@alginnovationgroup.com.
